CORN for days

Today we bought 10 dozen ears of corn.

then we came home and chucked it, cooked it, cooled it, cut it, and bagged it, then put it in the freezer.

It was busy day but working together was amazing. I'm glad these guys were here to help me, they all did amazing work.

Getting all the new stuff. Zacchy was really enjoying watching them get everything on the roof.

Problems in the roof. that ended up in a whole sheeting of the roof. that ended up costing 30% more then the quote. :(

Fun with the girls

Fun project with the girls.

Big enough for a bath.

Every since we have moved into this house I've had a love hate relationship with my kitchen sink. Really the faucet is what drives me crazy. It is so high that when the water finally gets to the spout it splatters everywhere when it hit the bottom of the sink. We have also gone through three sprayers, because the water has to work do hard to get to the spout that it decided the sprayer is an easier escape route.

Well, rob woke up this morning and said lets go get you a new sink today. I'm not going to turn that down.

Meet my new kitchen Sink. It is huge. I love it. I think bathing a baby in it will be amazing. and yes I still have a sprayer. The faucet has one in it.

Yep works pretty good for little ones!!

My friend came to visit for new years and while she was here she did this to Moby, our Big White Van.

The Wall

I know it is not Halloween but this is the picture that shows the wall. What it looked like before. If you looks closely right above Rob's head and the family picture and right to the right of the clock you can see some funny marks on the wall. They were a mess to fix. Rob gets so mad just thinking about it.  After much work we finally got to the next step.

 

We decided to retexture the whole wall so it would all match.

this is where those funny spots were. if you look close then you can see the white behind the spots.

I love  how the fireplace stands out more then it did before. And you can't even see those bad spots on the wall.

We just need to do one more cost and then I get my new floor!!!

Rob loves food, we all know that. someone he knows gave him a challenge.

 so this will be our new project, fix the whole. Or make a bigger hole....

2nd project DONE!!!

A few weeks ago I showed you my fabric. I finished the girls curtains and now finally late last night Rob helped and we finished the Front room curtains.

All I can saw is our front room window is Enormous!Here it is all finished and hung!

 

Project Emergency!

We have this nightly routine where my kids get to warm up thier bedbugs, if you don't know what a bed bug is scroll to the last picture and you will see.
Caleb brought his to me on Monday night almost in tear because there was a BIG Hole in his.

This little guy can no longer be used. Sad.

 

So I have been racking my brain trying to figure out to patch him or make a new one.
I sat down and made a new one this afternoon.

It wasn't eve that hard either.

Here is the little critter. I even reused all the wheat that was in the old one to fill this one up.

The lion materail is actaully from one of Caleb's baby quilt that Grandma made. I think he will like it.

One new and one old.

Girls Room

While Rob has been gone this week I have kept myself busy with this little project. curtains for the Grils room!

I think they turned out great. I can't wait to see if the girls like them when they get home form school.
