Christmas 2011

Every Christmas we start the morning out at the end of the hall together. Then the kids sorta do a march into the frontroom, it is fun to watch the excitment on thier faces.

Since Christmas fall on a Sunday this year the kids only got to look at thier stocking and then depending on how fast they got ready for church we would be able to open one Present before we went to church. We would then do eveything else Christmas-y after church. Yes, we are those kind of parents that make our kids wait to open their presents.

Edwin's one gift that he opened right before church. He was very excited.

After we did presents for Christmas and took naps, had a yummy lunch, played a lot, Then we got to celebrate my Birthday!

this is my Cake!! Rob made it it is so Pretty, I didn't want to cut it I just want to sit and stare at it. Rob did a really amazing job.
the frosting on top is homemade! It was so delish!!

And so far being 31 is Great! I'm so much older and Wiser!! then I was last year!

I wish my kids would remember how old and Wise I am.

And Thanks to everyone who sent me a Birthday greeting or Just thought about. I love you too!

And Merry Christmas to Everyone!!

6 Month old Izzy!

this little girl is 6 Months Old!!
I really don't know where the time has gone.

She is so sweet. She hardly ever cries except for the few random time I forget about her, like when I am making dinner or trying to take care of someone else. Most of the time  it is because I forget that she has only had one bottle that morning say 8:00 and now all of the sudden it is 1:00 in the afternoon. Wow I know I must be starving the poor girl.
Here are her 6 months stats;
13 lbs. 11.5 oz
height 26 1/8 in

She is our little angel. I am so glad that she coose us as her family. I don't know what we would do without her.

Delish!

What could be better then Chocolate cake?

Yep, right now nothing.

Discovery

It is that time of the year.
Izzy has discovered the Christmas Tree.

She loves it under there.
She will wriggle around until she finds just the right spot and then she will...

Fall right to sleep.

So sweet.

Soon to be at my kitchen table.

So I've been bugging Rob about letting me have a bench for the kids to sit on at the kitchen table. finally instead of just letting me go to the store and buy one he called his brother Mike and had him cut the wood. When Rob's Mom, Dad and sister came for Tahnksgiving they brought the pieces.
Last week Rob started to put the pieces together.
I am so excited!

I can tell already that they might be fighting over who gets to sit on bench during meal time.

Now we just need to find time to sand and stain.

Merry christmas or Happy Birthday to ME!!!

It is Great To Be Eight!!

Caleb's Special Day.

It was a great Day.
We had a lot of people show up to congratulate him on his big choice to be baptised. Both of his Priamry teachers, Brother Hall and sister Denning, where there to not only support him but they helped out with the progam. Grandma and Grandpa Owens and Aunt Tami made the long drive up and also played parts in the progam. Other people that helped out were;
Our Home Teacher and His wife the Primary President the Edges
Bishop Sears
"Grandma" Gayle Fairbanks ~ she played the piano for us, she is amazing.
And Aubree Hairrs, Caleb adores her, they share a birthday and He calls her his Twin.

Rob did a great job doing the baptisim and the confirmation. I am so glad that he holds the priesthood and do not only these kinds of things for us as a family but other things as well.

"We believe in the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; forth Laying on of hands for gift of the Holy Ghost."

Sleeping

When Rob and I were gone for my surgery Gayle was here watching the kids. when it was naptime she couldn't resist snapping these pictures of Edwin.
He sure is peaceful here.

somebodies 8!

It's Caleb!
We celebrated out at Grandma Gayle's house again. We really like spend any extra time we have with her.
We made yummy pizza. for the kids it was pepporoni and olives. For the adults it was Margarhita pizzas. It was all fantastic.

 the pile of presents
He told Gayle that he didn't want a cake, instead he wanted to be a little differnet and have pie. Strawberry pie.
It was delish!

I can't believe my little boy is eight. Time has really gotten away from me and the last eight years have flown by. I hope I have remembered to do all the things I needed to do for my eight year old.
He starts scouts tonight.
I'm still flabergasted that I'm old enough to have an eight year old!
Love you Caleb!!

How do you say it?

He does a pretty good job, right?

SIX!

One of our favorite dishes is Zesty chicken bowls. This is what we choose to have for Hailey's birthday dinner. It is also one those nice dishes that the kids can pick and choose what they want to put on their plate. You don't have to have it all, but it is better when you mix it all together.

We spent the evening at Gayle's house. We planned the and brought the dinner with us, we even made homemade icecream. It has been so long since Gayle had been able to eat any ice cream it was a specail treat for her.  (with the right ingrediants she can still have safe food, she has a few allergies that we have to be careful about.)

I didn't get a bunch of pictures we were kinda on a time limit, at least I got us singing Happy birthday!
