A Little excitement in the garage

We had a hummingbird fly into the garage. It took us about 2 hours to get the poor thing out. It was neat to see one so close but I felt bad for it, not knowing what to do.

Back to School 2017

Hailey is in 6th grade and in Middle school.
She doesn't know what to think yet of school.

Caleb is in 8th grade. He is Senator this year and is loving school.

I think Hailey is happy to be with Caleb this year.

Edwin is in 3rd grade this year.

Chloe is in 5th grade this year.

Izzy is in 1st grade this year. She is super excited to school all day long. She is loving it!!

I think they are happy to be with each other and I hope the excitement lasts.

Date Night

I'm so glad that we have some kids getting older so that Rob and I can have a spontaneous date night. Last night we decided to put all the kids in bed and then sneak out to the movie. It was great!
Date Selfie!!

Oh and if you really want to now what we went to it was Guardians of the Galaxy vol.2

The Great Eclipse of 2017

We wanted to watch the Eclipse so bad. First we made plans to go to Rexburg and visit my Grandma and campout in her yard. Then everything changed last Sunday when we all really felt that we should not travel. Everyone was disappointed.  I figured we would just go out and stand in the driveway and watch it as it came by.
then on Saturday we had a friend tell us that we could tag along to their cabin in Idaho city. It was right on the line. We jumped at the chance, after a good family meeting, and left after church on Sunday to go up at to the cabin.
there was no traffic, there were not a lot of people and it was perfect.
We camped out in the main room of the cabin. (they are in the middle of a complete tear down and rebuild.)
The floor was hard but everyone slept.
In the morning we packed everything up and ate breakfast then we played games and waited for the Eclipse to start.
The Eclipse was amazing!
I didn't realize how amazing it would really be.
We saw shadow bands, Bailey's beads, Mars or Venus I don't really know which, 360 degree sunset, and the Sun's Corona. I wish I could have gotten a picture of what we saw.

On our way home we stopped at an Ice Cream shoppe. They Eclipsed your cone for free. (Dipped it in chocolate). the kids had a blast.

Where is Zacchy??

Zacchy has found a new hiding place. He thinks it is great. Especially when I open the other side and can see him. He just laughs and laughs.
